Mike Sanford

Professional Experience: Worked in the Juvenile Justice System for 25 years. Took early retirement in April 1994 to devote full time to ministry - serving as Pastor to the Single Again at Perimeter Church, Duluth, GA. Taught in School of Criminal Justice at Georgia State University, 8 years. Current Involvement National President of Fresh Start from 1997 to 2003; Southeast Regional Director since 2004. Speaker for Fresh Start since 1992. He and his wife, Bonnie, went with the team to Australia to speak for Fresh Start Seminars.

Personal Information: Mike was born and reared in Birmingham, AL. He has lived in Georgia since 1966. He and his wife, Bonnie, work in ministry together.

Thomas A. Whiteman, Ph.D.

National President of Fresh Start since 2004, Founder and President of Life Counseling Services, Paoli, PA.
Counseling center with 20 professional counselors . He supervises all the counseling at the center and conducts seminars on grief, co-dependency, dysfunctional families, and relationships.
Former president of Fresh Start Seminars, Inc. for 10 years.

Personal Information: An ordained Presbyterian minister with 28 years of pastoral experience in churches in Tennessee and Illinois. Served on numerous church councils and agency boards. Taught college and seminary courses in speech communication and homiletics. Written articles for periodicals and magazines. Author of Sex and Love When You're Single Again - 1990; The Single Again Handbook - 1993 - Fresh Start Publications. Married to Reidun. He and his wife together have 9 children,as a "blended family". Tom personally conducts over 30 seminars a year throughout the U.S. on Divorce Recovery, Single Sexuality and Relationship issues. Involvement with Fresh Start Seminars Came to Wayne, PA in Fall 1981 upon request from Dr. Bob Burns to speak for a Fresh Start seminar. Returned in Spring '82 and every succeeding seminar. Took Fresh Start to Australia in 1990 & 1992. Key speaker at Single Sexuality and Second Wind Seminars. Employed by Fresh Start part-time in 1989. Full-time in 1990. Presently Director of Mid West Region.

Ashley Hunter

Personal Information: Formerly pastored in Indiana (3 years). Director and singer in musical group consisting of 10 members, called "Inheritance". Guest speaker for various churches, including Vision and Focus Singles Ministries at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA
Sportsaholic , Trivia buff , Married to Melissa since 1989. They have twin boys, Cory and Cody born September, 1994.

                      Rob Horton

Rob Horton has lived in Atlanta for all but two years of  his life.

Educational Background: BA from from Georgia Tech in 1979, with a degree in Industrial Managment.

Personal Information: He was first married in 1988, separated in 1995 and divorced in 1997. He has one daughter, who was 4 years old when he and his wife separated. It was during this separation that he attended his first Fresh Start Seminar. For the next several years, he attended the seminars  as both a participant and a facilitator. In 2003, Rob assumed the role as  lay pastor for a local divorce recovery ministry called Genesis. After a year, he became a featured speaker with Fresh Start Seminars. He and his wife Genie (also a Fresh Start alumni) share the same passion for ministering to the separated and divorced. They are happy to be involved in the healing that takes place through Fresh Start, praying  that God's love and compassion will continue to shine through this ministry.
